Camping in Pembrokeshire …….Pembrokeshire
This month we celebrate camping in Pembrokeshire! The weather is warming up and with so many options from basic pop your tent up in a field to the more luxurious glamping options out there………go be free and spend some time outdoors!
We have compiled a list of some top campsites to stay at……
North Pembrokeshire and beyond……
These guys have one of the best views going! Right on top of the cliffs, overlooking an amazing sea scape. They have plenty of room to pitch up in a tent, camper or caravan. They allow dogs, campfires and bbq’s, what’s not to love! From the campsite you can walk straight onto the Pembrokeshire coastal path, take a stroll down to their private little cove or start off on a long walk. It is a great base to get out and do activities from and they are happy to help and point you in the right direction of pretty much anything!
This campsite is right next to the water, so if you don’t want to be up on top of a cliff this is perfect! Family friendly with a handy restaurant on site making meals easy. From the campsite a short walk will connect you to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path for a great walk with fantastic views.
Cardigan camping and touring caravan site
Based just outside Cardigan on the Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire boarder, perfect if you want to explore further along the North coast! It has all the facilities, with nice flat pitches and hard standing pitches if you have a caravan or motorhome. With views out across Cardigan bay so you can sit and relax at the end of an action packed day! They are near to loads of great beaches that are perhaps not always explored if you are further South. (They also have a self-catering property if camping isn’t quite for you!)
Lleithyr Farm – Camping and caravaning
This is a campsite with all the facilities! It has a fab onsite shop which sells homemade pastries and more! The site is super family friendly with lots on offer to keep children and adults entertained during the stay. Being near to a beach is always a winner and this one ticks that box too. They even have some animals to hang out with, including kune kune pigs and donkey’s!
Now if you are looking for all the options these guys have it covered! They actually have two different sites to choose from. With one site being a classic campsite where you can pitch up a tent, or they can provide a bell tent ready to go for you! Then the other option is more down the “glamping” route where you have a lovely “pod” to nestle into at the end of your day! Check out their website for all the options…they have plenty to choose from and at great locations to explore the south of the county!
Pant Glas Farm http://www.pantglasfarm.co.uk/
This is a lovely campsite with plenty of room for tents and caravans. They have an onsite bar and all the other facilities you would need including a large play area for the kids (and grown-ups too!), launderette and wifi across the site. They welcome families, dogs and disabled campers.
This campsite offers room for camping, caravans and also has holiday cottages! Families are welcome along with friends too! It is situated near to Saundersfoot (you can even hop on the bridal path and take a walk there!). It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually you are super close to everything the South has to offer! It has all the facilities you would need while staying away from home.
Fresh Water East Caravan and camping
This site is just 10 minutes from a beautiful beach in our National Park! It has lots of pitches for caravans and a handful for tents, with all the facilities you need to have a break away from it all. It is a great location in the South of the County to be right next to the water, if you love to lounge on a sunny beach this is the site for you!
Here we have two awesome companies that will put your tent up, provide beds and pretty much everything else you need for camping …so all you have to do is turn up and sleep, adventure, eat and be merry!
These guys have “the mothership” and “the torridon” which are big modern tents with some space to spread out and even have a dance if you wanted. They also have Bella the bell tent for a more traditional style of camping. They provide pretty much everything you nees, and offer some cheeky extra’s too! So if you want “easy” camping call these lovely people right up!
Not Just any tent
This company has lots of Bell tents available and pitch them anywhere in Pembrokeshire! They offer two packages from basic to all singing all dancing! So if you want a Bell tent experience then give these guys a shout!
So there we have it, this is just a tiny selection of all the amazing campsites on offer in Pembrokeshire, but we love them all! So don’t think about camping or glamping… go do it… and come play in the water toooo 😉
